RESUMEN DEL HOTEL

Vacations on Michigan's Boyne Mountain

Boyne Mountain is the Midwest's largest ski area, and Mountain Run at Boyne is indeed a skier's paradise. You'll have direct access to 14 ski lifts and more than 50 trails for all skill levels. Some villas actually allow you to ski in and ski out at the base of the Super Bowl, one of the mountain's top black diamond runs. The resort itself is exactly what you might expect-fireplaces and cozy decor and amenities, perfect after a long day on the slopes, biking the mountain, playing golf or exploring the beautiful countryside. Chalet-style architecture adds to the appeal and, with a nice heavy blanket of snow on the ground, you might think you're in the Swiss Alps. But winter isn't the only season to have fun here. When the snow melts, the cross-country ski trails become great hiking and biking trails.

Onsite amenities

Once you've tamed the slopes, pay a visit to Snowflake Lounge for a warm drink and live entertainment. Or work out in the fitness center and relax in the indoor hot tub. When the snow melts, make sure to bring your clubs because Mountain Run offers two championship golf courses. You can also call for a match on the tennis courts. If your family enjoys boating, fishing, swimming and kayaking, head to Deer Lake for an afternoon of family fun. You can enjoy the great outdoors-and great indoors, too-year-round at Mountain Run at Boyne.

    "Super Vacation 2018"
This was our third trip to this resort in five years and every time it gets better! Great people and one of the best-kept secrets in the upper midwestern part of the U.S! Only an hour away from Mackinac Island, there is plenty to do and see. A winter ski resort but summer is my pick! Go mid to late July for the freshest, sweetest cherries in the states. Michigan rocks!!!
    "Nice resort-somewhat cozy accommodations"
We are Bluegreen owners but had never stayed here. Spent 4 nights in a 1 bed (a little tight wit our 2 older kids). Beds are comfortable and the kitchen was adequate. Laundry in the foyer and gas grills between buildings. There is a pool and indoor hot tub as well as good size exercise facility onsite at the clubhouse. The entire resort is beautiful with a variety of activities onsite, some of which are included. You also have access to an additional pool and hot tub. Overall we had a great stay and will come back again. They could use a bike rack-there were a lot of bikes just leaning against trees or on the ground. Note-if you are coming to the resort from the south get groceries before getting to Boyne Falls as there are no grocery stores in the immediate area.
"Week long stay at this Bluegreen resort"
We are Hilton timeshare owners and rented a 3 bedroom 3 bath unit through RCI. The unit was a connection of a 2 BR and 1 BR unit. Had a washer/dryer. Was nicely furnished with kitchen ware and towels. Comfortable enough accommodations. Beds were very comfortable. Unit was very clean upon check-in. Missing luggage racks. Pool was a postage stamp but was always crowded. Can't understand with all of the beautiful beaches in northern Michigan why anyone would want to hang out by a pool. Shower in the master bath looked like an afterthought as it was a pre-fab shower unit stuck in the corner of an otherwise large bathroom. Hard to shower in such a small unit. Had some issues with room keys not working throughout our stay. Keys to our units failed twice so we had to go back to the front desk to get them re-coded. Since Bluegreen sells timeshares, they will contact you multiple times to set up an appointment to try and sell you a timeshare both before you arrive and throughout your stay. Since we already own two timeshares, we just ignore the calls.
    "Spring trip"
We have stayed at Mountain Run for several years and always satisfied. The staff is great and go out of their way to be helpful. Units are great and up to date. God restaurants and other activities are close or within reasonable driving distance. Highly recommend!
"Off Season visit to family and friends"
Great time to visit the Traverse City / Mackinaw area - before crowds and higher prices hit. Boyne is centrally located a quick drive from the Mackinaw Bridge and access to the island. Many wineries and beautiful vistas are located within man hours drive such as wineries, fishing villages and marinas.
    "Spring vacation in Michigan"
We have stayed 3 times at Mountain Run at Boyne in both the 1 BR & the 2 BR units which have been very clean and comfortable!! LOVE the beautiful areas around the facility to go to visit & walk the trails; like Petoskey, Cheboygan, Traverse City! Great view of Lake Michigan & Grand Traverse Bay
    "Great location"
We enjoyed the comfort and location of this timeshare. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Not far from shopping, lakes, skiing, water park, casino and a nice drive to the upper peninsula. Recommend going into Boyne City to explore shops and eat at Sante, for good dining experience. Saw a lot of joggers and walkers around the condo. Saw lots of wildlife, deer, geese, birds. We had planned on having another couple with us. The second bed was only a double, so was glad they didn't come with. Never made it to the pool or jacuzzi. There are jacuzzi tubs in the master bathroom. Since we were there in between winter and summer, many things were still closed but we still found things to do.
"Lovely resort, great location, friendly staff"
The resort was very nice and in a very good location. The bedrooms are smaller than other places we have stayed at but the living room/dining area was nice. Great view of the mountain. Staff was always very pleasant and helpful! Need an indoor pool and some resort activities. Unit should be cleaned better and better temperature control in unit.
"Splendid, Amazing, Fantastic, You will want to come back"
Whether you want to explore or relax in your villa and stay in, Mountain Run at Boyne is a great resort. We had a 2 bedroom villa (building 14) that was right on the slopes. The fireplace was perfect and warmed the villa well, the kitchen had everything you need. Beds were very comfortable and the entire place was clean. Two balconies to enjoy the piece and quiet and a jet tub. Everything is up to date and you don't feel like you are stepping into the 70s one bit (granted I love the 70s). Plus a laundry unit as well (who doesn't love to have laundry to do once you get home from vacation?). Mountain Run is a great central location to do all the exploring there is to do in the area, from Charlevoix to Petoskey and beyond, you are within 30 minutes or less of those to central towns. Mackinaw Bridge is an hour away. Plus you have Boyne Mountain resort right next door and you are able to enjoy all that they offer, a hayride, camp fire, family movies, it's all right there. And to top it all off Avalanche Bay (indoor water park) is at Boyne Mountain too, the kids will love it. A shuttle takes you over to all these great activities at Boyne Mountain. One tip if you get pizza don't get it at Boyne Mountain, get it from Nico's a 3 minute drive in Boyne Falls. Or they can deliver as well. The customer service is great, everyone was friendly, they asked all our questions and helped us find some great things in the area and also some great discounts as well (we all love discounts). Plus if you go to a timeshare meeting (1 hour max) they'll give you water park tickets or a visa gift card (1 hour is worth the value). If I were to give it one critic, the walls are probably a little thin, but I've had way worse. And there is no indoor swimming pool (so winters your only option is the water park), but there is an indoor hot tub. All in all, we can't wait to go back again, anytime of season.
    "Great Time at Boyne"
We had and excellent time at Boyne. The Mountain Run condos are newer than some of the other condos at Boyne and are very comfortable. They are well maintained with a friendly staff. Having access to the outdoor swimming pool and outdoor hot was tub was a nice touch. We will be back.
"We thought it was a normal family trip until...."
Everything was surprisingly convenient. There was a shuttle running every day, a hot tub and gym in the common building, along with the ability to ski to and from mountain run. The only bad thing was the chair lift on this side of the mountain closes at 1pm during normal times. It's open later on busy days such as holidays.
    "Great getaway"
The picture of Mountain Run at Boyne doesn't do it justice. This place is beautiful. The setting is fantastic. The people are very helpful and friendly. It is very quiet but there are nearby towns to visit nearby.
    "What a jem!"
It so happened that we drove in to be greeted by the resort nicely decorated in snow (Nov 4th). Our large second floor unit was overlooking one of the slopes with the ski lift (made us wish there was more snow). The check-in was smooth and fast with very friendly staff. The unit appeared a little outdated, but clean and convenient. Everything screamed: comfy ski vacation. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We drove around the corner to the Village and although we didn't use what it had to offer, everything looked perfect. We've received the list of activities, but were too busy with many area's attractions to take advantage of any of them. We did, however, very much enjoyed the fireplace in our unit. We might just have to come back in the winter
    "Bluegreen owners"
My husband and I have experienced several of Bluegreens resorts. This our fourth trip to Boyne. Beautiful location, convenient for many other activities. Close to Petoskey and Deer Lake. This trip in September, we used the lift up the mountain and hiked.
    "Weekend with the Mrs"
One of our favorite Resorts regardless of the Season, there are so many activities to do year round. The resort is within driving distance to many attractions, restaurants and bars. The staff is always accommodating and polite. Our room was recently undated and very comfortable. The only draw back is the Fitness room on property it is very small and antiquated. Our 5th or 6th trip here and we always leave wanting to go more.
    "Convenient for North Michigan Tour"
This resort is a great location, whether you want to stay on the resort, relax and use the amenities, or if you want to visit the main attractions in the area, which we did. We had a 2 bed/2 bath suite. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and provided everything we needed. The master suite had a jacuzzi tub, and a stand up shower, with a large vanity area. The second bathroom was a more traditional hotel bathroom, that met our needs. The kitchen is well stocked and had a full freezer/ refrigerator. There was a dining table for 6. There was also a nice, front room with a fireplace (did not use it). They had two outdoor deck areas, and we enjoyed the views with a coffee out there. They have a nice size outdoor pool, which was well used by the guests there. The biggest perk though is being able to use the amenities of the larger ski resort next door. They have some good restaurants, limited shopping, and entertainment activities for both adults and kids. We ran out of time, but I wish we could have gone kayaking at nearby Deer Lake. The staff was accommodating, and friendly. The towns of Boyne City, Petoskey, and the Mackinac area are fairly close and worth a visit. We stayed as guests of Bluegreen owners, and while they pushed for a timeshare meeting/tour, they did not push too hard, and we had to decline due to limited time. Overall, the views are great, the area is clean and safe, and this was a great retreat for the wife and I.
    "Family vacation"
One of the best vacation we have had. We took the grandkids and had a blast. So much fun and so much to do. Petoskey was great fun the beaches were great and hunting for Petoskey stone was such fun. I would recommend this place to anyone.
    "Beautiful place to stay"
Staying here for the fourth or fifth time. The place is well kept, people are friendly, the rooms are comfortable however the one bedroom is small to what I'm use to. If you usually go to hotels, you'll be fine with the one bedroom. The two bedroom is really nice and roomie. If you're a skier, I'm not, I think you would enjoy the several lifts they have here. There's a lot to do in this area as long as you don't mind driving 20-90 minutes. A lot of people walk around the resort and during the summer you can hike the ski slopes.
    "Love this place!!"
Our family is part of Blue Green & this is our second time here. It does not disappoint!! The rooms are clean, spacious & have all the basics to make sure you have what you need to be comfortable. The grounds are clean & well maintained. It's a short walk from the Blue Green section to the complimentary ski lift rides, the few restaurants on site & the campfire area for daily smores from 6p-9p. The pools are clean & nice areas, the Deer Lake beach area is our favorite!! We will definitely be visiting again!!

This is our first time in MI and at this resort. The people at the front desk are so kind and friendly. They assisted us with activities to do and gave advise on some of the activities we were thinking of doing. Looking forward to visiting the Headlands Dark Sky Park and to take a stab at skiing. Would recommend to others.
