My kids and I drove from Charlotte for a guys weekend trip. We were impressed with the staff initially that explained the check in fees etc. as well as helped us get access to the free DVDs for our room. These rooms are spectacular with a great view and house like amenities. We felt right at home and were tempted to stay in and eat. Instead we went around the corner to find pizza and burger places within walking distance. This is definitely going to be our go to spot in Myrtle beach.

OMG, our stay at the Meridian Plaza was not just good, it was GREAT! My husband and I brought my Mother-in-law for a beach celebration for her 86th birthday, and man oh man did the Plaza deliver...not only was our ocean front suite perfect, but the other guests and the staff were people we decided were going to be friends for life! I can not recommend it highly enough...and Anthony the world's greatest concierge made our stay the best ever...and I mean ever! Super clean rooms and plenty of equipment so I could cook for Mom or soak in the hot tub, walk on the beach and sit and soak up sun in the "backyard" which was equipped with comfortable chairs and umbrellas and perfectly manicured grass and shrubs...I can't say enough about the space and the staff! All I can finish with is... if you want a great space at a fair price and a wonderful staff choose the Meridian Plaza, you will not be disappointed!

My daughter and I stayed in 704. Ocean front. It was great. I loved the room. Very clean and smelled so good. There were extra blankets in the closet. The bed slept so good I don't think I moved all night. The view is awesome. Well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, plates, glasses, silver wear and more. Only issue was the shower rod fell but was fixed within 15 minutes of calling front desk. Got fresh towels everyday. I seen on a review where someone complained about sand on the floor, HELLO you are at the beach. My room had a broom and I am not to good to use it!! The Elevators are NOT slow. I have seen slower ones. The pools was very nice and cleaned every day. I would love to stay here again. I understand the rooms are all different but I really loves room 704

My great experience began with Stacey at the front desk. She was professional and extremely accommodating. What a wonderful way to begin the weekend. The Meridian was clean and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and efficient. The bath was extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. The pools were extremely clean. I look forward to returning to this property for another visit. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

My family and I love this place! We've stayed here multiple times! We love the large rooms! They have always been clean and we've never had any issues. The beach is extremely quiet compared to farther down on the strip. Staff is always friendly. Love the nice, large balconies. Overall this is just a fabulous hotel. Will absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Myrtle Beach!

We stayed in Unit 707, Shows pride of ownership. Lovely inviting decor and very clean. Amazing service from the staff. Pools and Hot Tubs were clean. Amenities in the room gave us the choice to be able to eat in. Ocean practically at our doorstep! Walking distance to restaurants and bars, too many to visit them all in one week, much more fun to experience on our next trip. Can't wait!

I have never planned a last minute trip and was weary of doing so, but this turned out great. We checked in quickly and went up to our room. It wasn't a 5 star resort style room, but I wasn't under the impression that that's what I was paying for. I paid for a nice clean place to sleep, and that's what I received. I was thankful for the helpful and knowledgeable staff at the front desk. They recommended almost everywhere we ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The pools and hot tubs were great and always clean.

My husband and I stayed in room 1405, the view was amazing and the room was clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The free dvd rentals was a plus! The indoor pool was heated and the pool area was kept up to par. We got discounts at many attractions.

Alot of upgrade to the building, very clean, room we had was oceanfront and it was a rustic style with brand new memory foam mattresses on both beds, also has a sleeper sofa with a memory foam topper. New owners did a great job on updating this condo. I especially liked the backsplash in kitchen, it was a tin metal backing. Very nicely put together. Wall mounted TV in living area and bedroom giving you more space to move around instead of banging into large furniture in a limited space. Very open, spacious. Great area, 1 mile walk from the Boardwalk on the beach, didn't have to drive anywhere, everything was walking distande. The condo was 301

The Meridian Plaza was a great place to stay with my husband for a weekend getaway. The rooms were nice and clean, and had everything that we could ever need! If there was something that we found we didn't have or didn't have enough of, we just called down to the front desk and asked them if they could bring us up what ever it was. The people at the front desk were very nice, and always greeted us as we walked in and out of the lobby. There was even security on site after hours, which made us feel very safe at night.

My wife and I stayed in room 1005 and had a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. The entire suite was clean and nicely decorated, comfortable king bed, HD TV with free movie rentals, free wifi, a romantic fireplace, and a great (albeit small) kitchen. Both pools and hot tubs were clean, lawn chairs and umbrellas on the lawn near the beach were nice, and the beautiful Myrtle Beach a few steps away from that. Conveniently located to the sights we wanted to see. A friendly staff was only a phone call away to answer any questions we had.

I stayed in unit 1007 with my wife for 4 days and could not be happier. This unit was very nice, clean and everything was new. The 50" tv in Living Room was very nice and looked new as well. Looked like the whole place had been gutted and redone because looked like kitchen was new with new appliances, granite, tile back splash and cabinets. The bathroom had been redone as well with new tile shower and vanity with granite sink. This was a very upscale, nice condo. The bedroom was nice with what looked like a new bed and bedding and 32" tv on wall. This unit had a wonderful view of ocean and the boulevard . The elevators worked well and the pools were clean. Great access to the ocean and the location is wonderful as it is 2 block walk to several nice restaurants and the parking garage is directly across street. This unit is privately owned and can only be rented through Gsluxuryvacations.com as it is not on the on site rental program. This is a small but very nice 1 BR condo that is very luxurious and upscale. I will definitely be back to this unit because some of the other condos in this building are not nice like this one is. Unit 1007 .....worth every penny. I have seen some of the other reviews of other units in this building with pictures and the difference between this one is like day and night. This one looks nothing like some of the ones with bad reviews. This unit is like driving a Lexus and only having to pay price of a Chevy!

It has been a long time since i have been able to find affordability, cleanliness and great customer service in Myrtle Beach! For once, we didn't have to clean our condo before we could use it!! From the reservation process, front desk to housekeeping everyone was helpful and completely awesome! We won't stay anywhere else for now on!!!

I stayed in unit 1007. Completely upgraded! Very very clean! Flat (2) screen TVs, DVD player, fireplace, granite tops on bar and countertops. Comfortable King size bed with very nice bedding. Balcony views are spectacular and nice rocking/swivel chairs to enjoy! Kitchen equipped with all appliances and small ones including coffee maker, toaster, foreman grill, blender, and chopper! Stainless refrigerator even has built-in ice maker! Will definitely be back to this one! Had plenty of linens, tissue, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Love that it is in walking distance to just about anything you want! Will definitely be back to this unit!

We go a couple times a year and always stay in unit 804. The room has all the upgrades, jacuzzi tube, fireplace and great view. They said the mattress was just replaced. The view is ocean front and from the side window you can see all the way to the 2nd ave pier. We like that it is located within walking distance to all our favorite downtown restaurants. Our mornings start with a beautiful sunrise and breakfast at Harry's our favorite. We even have a beach pub crawl down to 2nd ave pier. When we are not at the beach or walking around, we take a 5 minute ride to Broadway at the beach for shopping and nightlife.

When I initially checked out the reviews here on Tripadvisor I had to admit I was a bit nervous. I have travelled to Myrtle Beach on a number of occasions but have never stayed at the Meridian Plaza. I traveled with my significant other (who has a great deal of international travel experience) and upon check in was extremely pleased with this hotel. Granted it is not the newest on the Grand Strand however don't let that deter you from considering a stay here. When we checked in with Austin (whom we called Awesome Austin) we initially were going to stay in a room on the 4th floor (we booked an oceanfront King Deluxe.) However, we had requested a high floor so Austin put us into room 804 (his favorite room) and assure us it would be to our liking ... and yes it was. The room was nicely furnished with modern amenities and a great oceanfront view of the beach (thanks Austin!) One of the great things about Meridian Plaza is that it is smaller than the Dayton House (located right next door to the north) a much cozier and intimate atmosphere. If you are traveling alone (no kids) then this is the place to stay. Though there were kids staying at our resort there weren't that many which made for a more peaceful stay. I will say we did have a couple of issues with the kitchen sink (a leaky pipe). We called the front desk and maintenance was up to our room in 15 minutes. I had discovered that the main drain pipe under the sink was loose. A couple of quick turns and I was able to tighten it up and the problem was resolved. The proximity to the beach is great and the Meridian Plaza is about a mile from Broadway at the Beach and other major attractions. If my significant other was impressed with the room, accommodations, overall layout and says she would come back then you can pretty much take that to the bank (and she doesn't impress that easily!) Overall we truly enjoyed our stay at Meridian Plaza and look forward to returning again.

A spontaneous before school getaway. I've been here a few years back and it was like walking into a new hotel. Everything was updated and very clean. Front desk was super helpful in whatever we needed and very attentive. Thank you for a great time !!

Enjoyed the oceanfront view. Comfortable accommodations with kitchen if you don't want to eat out. Since we were there for a wedding saw several rooms and each were decorated differently- some nicer than others. Would go back again!

We were on the 4th floor, ocean view, overlooking the ocean! Our room was clean and the hospitality staff was efficient. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and polite.It was by far a very enjoyable stay, we will return again.

We have just recently visited Meridian Plaza. What a nice surprise! We truly loved this hotel. The condo has a private king size bedroom, full kitchen equipped with all updated cookware, and nice roomy living area. The condo was decorated beautifully. Nothing tacky. The room was very clean. We had the ocean view and oh boy....what a view!!! Balcony was big. The lobby, hot tubes, pools and pool area were clean. Staffs were helpful and polite. Parking area is convenient. Love it! Will recommend to friends and family.

We enjoyed a few quiet days at Grande Shores recently. Service was excellent as always. Everyone we had contact with was friendly and professional. Even with work being done on the floor above us we were not bothered by noise. It was a very pleasant vacation.
