"Great stopover hotel"
We stayed for 1 night on a stopover from UK. Found the checkin staff very helpful and friendly but agree with other reviewers that the waiting line was too long! The room was clean & quiet but the hotel is just so vast! Great having the monorail so close. Would return but only on a stopover, maybe choose one of the other big hotels on the strip that had more of a classy vibe!
"Always Great"
I travel 5 days a week and am gone overnight 2 nights a week, only 1 night at at a particular destination. I have executive club access at Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, International Hotels Group and Starwood Preferred Guest. I only stay at the LVH though I have no status with them. Monorail boards right there, staff are great, gaming, restaurants and shows right there. $25 max taxi fare from the airport.
"The LVH was a great place to stay!"
I had a great experience at the LVH. It was my first time in Vegas. I was there for work. My administrative assistant is the one that originally did the booking of my flight, my room, and my conference. She picked the LVH because it was right next to the Convention Center. This proved to be an awesome pick. I could easily walk to and from the Convention Center and in between my classes I could walk back to my room and change out supplies etc. The LVH has a nice, clean, laid back environment. The pool hours are great! Other hotels, on the strip, have pools that close before dinner the LVH had much nicer pool hours and even a pool happy hour! The staff was very helpful and friendly especially to a lady who had never been in Vegas before and doesn't travel often! I had a lot of questions. Though the LVH isn't directly on the strip, you can easily get to the strip by taking the monorail. The monorail is reasonably priced and much cheaper than taking a taxi. It arrives every 6 minutes and takes you to the strip quickly! There are a variety of food choices at the LVH and I really enjoyed the buffet, the little breakfast shop, and the Pizza Hut. My room was clean and well taken care of during my stay. I only had one mishap where I was charged twice for internet, and when I brought it to the LVH staff's attention, it was immediately taken care of without a problem. The rest of my stay was flawless. I think this is a great place to take the kids for a family vacation, a great place to stay if you have business at the Convention Center, and a great place to stay if you do not want to be right on top of the hustle and bustle of the strip. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend staying here to anyone. I know I will be back - that's for sure!!!
"Absolutely the BEST in Las Vegas"
We were married at the LVH wedding chapel and had our reception at TJ's Steakhouse. Our suite was impeccable and the food was superb!!! We had 40 people travel with us and everyone was impressed with not only the accommodations but the service as well!! An excellent hotel and staff!!! An A+++ experience!!!
"Early summer family vacation"
Once again the family headed to Las Vegas for a three day get away. This is the second time staying at the lvh and once again we had a blast. I have two teenagers and both like the food and rooms, if the kids are happy the vacation is always better. My wife and I love the monorail makes it easy to access the strip. Don't listen to the bad reviews go check it out for yourself and upgrade to resort room or something, you shouldn't be disappointed.
"Very good hotel to stay at on weekdays."
The price varies dramatically depending on what day you stay at this hotel.
Luckily I got very good price and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel.
Spacious room with bath tab looked like 4 star hotel ( well worn one though).
My room was on 19th floor and it commanded a fine view on Vegas and golf yard near by.
"Location, comfort very good for the rates"
My wife and I stayed at the LVH last year during the early part of July. The rates were very reasonable. The rooms were nice and clean. The service was good and the fact that it was off the strip and had one of the Monorail stations right there was perfect. We were able to take the Monorail down to the strip each day. The food at the restaurants was good. The beverages were fairly reasonable. Overall, it was a very pleasent experiance.
"Good value, Very Nice Hotel"
I was in town only overnight on this trip and stayed once again at this hotel. Have been there on 2 other occasions and always enjoy my stay. Very pleasant hotel staff, no matter who you are dealing with. Very large rooms, clean, comfortable bed, quiet and very affordable. Great value for a very low cost which is nice to see. Only complaint would be for better lighting in the bathroom but that is very minor. A good selection of food places to catch a bite in the hotel and good service in the casino. Great if having a function at the convention center and the tram is right there if you want to take the short trip to the strip.
"Less crowded and less cost, but good facilities"
The hotels mid strip can be overcrowded and/or pretentious so I prefer to stay somewhere more laid back where it's less stressful. I chose the LVH based on low price, location and pool review. The aim of my trip was to relax by the pool most of the time, which I did. It's easy to get around on the monorail from there if you need a change of scenery. I would compare the LVH as a bit like the Flamingo, relaxed and old skool. Everything was excellent for the money and met my expectation. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. The BBQ grill by the pool is excellent but no fries ? Casino was good, although I could only see one roulette table which I thought was odd. Maybe it's only the Europeans like me who play that ? Really enjoyed the Burger Bistro gourmet burgers and wings. Shout out to Arturo in the Tempo bar who really made me laugh. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely stay there again.
"Great price"
Since the Las Vegas Hilton was transformed into the LVH the new management has made quite a few changes. The rooms have all been upgraded with nice ammenities to include flat screen TV's and new decor. They have a nice pool area where it is family friendly. The staff are really nice and helpful especially the casino dealers and my favorite person casino host Mike Espinosa. Places to eat include Benihana (A Japanese tepanyaki restaurant) where you will be treated to a nice show by the trained chefs. They also have a buffet and a place called Paradise Cafe which in my opinion are just ok.Nothing special. TJ's Steakhouse is good. They serve prime cuts of beef cooked to perfection. The Burger Bistro has good food although I think its a little overpriced. If you are looking for quick bite I recommend the Superbook deli. They have really good sandwiches at reasonable prices. All in all the LVH is a good hotel and provides a comfortable stay and good value for your hard earned money.
"The price is right!"
You could not find a better hotel for the price. The room was on a high floor with a beautiful view, beds were comfortable, on a non-smoking floor and very quiet. Air condtioning very good. It was not on the strip but getting to the strip was not a problem. If the price is right, I would definitely stay at this hotel. They have the best sports betting in Nevada.
"Slightly off the beaten path"
This hotel is everything I like in a vacation get away, the rooms are nice, clean, and everything worked, good staff, an excellent restaurant and great rate deals. It is away from the maddening crowd but close enough to walk to the action, it is behind the Riviera Hotel. I always enjoy my stay here.
"The LVH is top notch!"
Thanks to Travis Pixler, Customer Service Manager at the LVH, our trip was a huge success. The room was 5-Star quality, service impeccable and the casino very clean and fun. The Raiding The Rock Vault show was certainly the highlight of our stay!!! We will definitely be staying at the LVH the next time we're in town!
"Great experience this time!"
I took my family to the LVH for 5 nights after receiving an email offer. Last July I stayed here for a convention and it is wasn't so good. Everything was excellent this time from the very friendly and helpful staff to the food, gambling, shows (do not miss Raiding the Rock Vault), pool, spa, big clean rooms and housekeeping. The monorail is steps away but we stayed here all the time because we were having such a great time and were never bored. The Buffet, Noodles, Paradise Cafe and the deli in the sportsbook were all reasonably priced and delicious. I play video poker for the most part and you can find full pay machines if you look. The happy hour party at the pool (which is super clean) was fun. Everyone in my family wants to return and we will very soon. I have been going to Las Vegas for 35 years and this was one of the best experiences I've ever had! And did I mention that the staff is GREAT!
"The Las Vegas Tenors @ The LVH"
On 6/12/14 my husband and I went to see a new show at the LVH. It's called the Las Vegas Tenors and let me tell you this is the show to see. With singers like Bobby Black, Shai Yammanee and Lou Gazzara you can't go wrong. They are the best and when the sing it put a smile on your face. They sing rock, country, motown and more. This is a must see if you are visiting or planing to visit or if you live here. I never buy any CD's from any show's I have seen, but I bought there CD that's how good they are.
"We had an awesome time!"
We stayed at LVH for a week and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very economical and the rooms were nice. The close proximity to the Monorail made travel to the Strip hassle free. The restaurants were excellent especially Paradise Cafe. We had a couple issues with the room initially but the staff fixed it immediately. We will definitely come again.
"Definitely would stay again!"
I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but this place was awesome! We were on the the 6th of MANY floors (so not that high up) and our room was great. (Some reviews indicated that the lower level rooms were outdated). The room itself was very clean and modern. The service we received was pleasant on all accounts (restaurant, hotel, and casino staff).
There are so many options for things to do right at the hotel! It's like a resort. Shops, shows, restaurants, salons, coffee... The pool is amazing, and the restaurants (yes, I think we tried almost all of them) were delicious. And having a monorail station right there is so convenient. Two of the days we just hopped on for $5, and wandered the strip.
"Great View of Downtown"
We got this hotel as part of a package deal. It's off The Strip but not far, it's only a block to The Circus Circus, easy walk and it's attached to the monorail. Yes, you could tell it was old, but it was updated inside. The staff was friendly. The view from the room was amazing! For some reason we kept having a hard time finding our room when we got off the elevator and that just made us laugh... great memories. Would stay again.
"great value at this nostalgic resort"
great dollar value, rooms are clean with all the amenities, close to most casinos and a short trip to the outlet mall for some great shopping, restaurants are good as well, staff was very friendly, would definitely stay here again if your a budget minded traveller
"Great hotel off the strip"
I got a great bundle package for hotel and air fair and was not sure what to expect. The hotel is off the strip yet a short drive to anywhere on the strip. The hotel is also a stop on the monorail. The staff at check in was friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and roomy and had a great view of both the strip and mountains which was beautiful at night. Temperature control is nice as there is an option for a continuos fan that make for good background noise when sleeping.
